Most things I photograph are not mine but belong to other people I meet in my daily life. That means things before and during the 20th Century. The only exceptions to this rule are some occasional shots of somewhere I recently visited but missed something I wanted to document, buildings I feel should not be forgotten or historical places I could never get to before they disappeared.Įven though there are some things I don't photograph in general I like to Photograph almost anything that existed in the 20th Century. I also sometimes take pictures of images from Google Maps (before they update the Maps) with my camera, to document things that have changed, will change or disappeared that I have seen in person but wasn't able to photograph. It is up to you as the viewer to decide what to agree with or disagree with. Sometimes I will document things I don't agree with for historical purposes, reference purposes, for something to think about or things others may need to know about (of course even if I did agree with something, I would not give my opinion because that is not suppose to be the job of a documentary photographer).
